Facilities at St. Tinney Farm Holidays

St. Tinney is a small, family run and family orientated holiday park. Our lodges are all graded as “Excellent” FOUR STAR Chalets by Visit Britain (the English Tourist Board) and we are graded and inspected every year.

Our Lodges are let all year round & our static caravan holiday homes are let from Easter to the end of September. The camping fields are also open from Easter until the end of September. The cost of Gas & Electricity usage is included in our caravan holiday homes tariff. Use of Gas & Electricity, including gas central heating, to all our lodges is charged in addition to the tariff price by £1 coin meters.

All bed linen (white hotel style sheets, duvets & pillows) is provided, free of charge, to all lodges, cottages & caravans and all beds are made up ready for visitor’s arrival. Either cots, cot sides or bed guards can be fitted in most of the self catering accommodation (depending on the accommodation type), but please let us know if they are required at the time of booking. Bath and hand towels are provided to the lodges & cottages, but not to the caravans. Accommodation is let from 15:00 on the day of arrival and we ask that the accommodation is vacated by 10:00 on the day of departure.

THE ST. TINNEY ARMS & GAMES ROOM

Our on-site licensed club bar and games room are open during the main holiday season, every evening from the 19th March 2011 until the 4th November 2011. During 2012, the bar and games room will be open from 31st March until the 3rd November. We stock a wide range of drinks to suit all tastes and serve simple traditional pub food every evening.

The bar and games room are housed within tastefully converted farm buildings, with exposed wooden beams and traditional slate walls.

The games room is open from 10:00 and contains snack machines, a pool table, jukebox and arcade game machines.

SHOPPING LOCALLY

The local area is well served by small general stores at Marshgate, about one and a half miles away and at Wainhouse Corner which is about two and a half miles away. Larger supermarkets can be found in Camelford about 6 miles away (Co-Op, Spar), Bude about 8 miles away (Morrisons, Sainsburys, Co-Op) and Launceston about 15 miles away (Tesco superstore Open 24/7 except Sundays, Co-Op).

OUTDOOR HEATED SWIMMING POOL

Constructed in 2007, our outdoor heated swimming pool is now closed for the 2011 season but will be open again from the 26th May to 8th September 2012. We ask that all those under 18 years of age are accompanied by a responsible adult over the age of 18 at all times in the pool area. This is for your safety as the pool is unsupervised. The pool is closed at 5pm each evening for health and safety reasons and we reserve the right to close the pool in adverse weather conditions.

NATURE TRAIL

Visitors of all ages can explore our farm & Nature Trail, with its professionally designed information boards and quiz leaflets, which can be obtained free of charge from reception.

LAUNDRY ROOM
Our professionally installed commercial laundry is open all year round and contains 2 modern commercial automatic washing machines, 2 commercial tumble driers, an ironing board and steam iron.

COARSE FISHING

We are a long established coarse fishery, with catches of over 100lb per day session happening on a regular basis.

For those wishing to fish, we charge £15 per rod, per person, per week or part week. These fees cover fishing in all five lakes.

INTERNET ACCESS

Wireless Broadband Internet access, is available free of charge in all self catering accommodation (cottages, lodges and caravan holiday homes), the bar and games room. The wireless internet access signal does not reach all camping pitches. Internet access is provided on a "best endeavour" basis, without any technical support offered. We're connected to a slow rural telephone exchange, the ADSL connection that drives the WiFi is not fast enough to support streaming media video or gaming playback such as that offered by sites like BBC iPlayer or YouTube. So if it is "business critical" or "essential" that you have internet access while staying with us, we suggest that you bring your own 3G wireless access "dongle" with you, a reasonable connection can be achieved with most mobile service providers.

NO SMOKING POLICY

All of our self catering accommodation (lodges and caravan holiday homes) are non-smoking. The public areas of the shower block, dish washing area, laundry, reception, bar & games room are also non-smoking.
